Reviewing Week 10 Action In The NFL

The NFL has done it once again in week 10. Another week of exciting action took place. This has to be one of the best seasons in history if you take into account the amount of late drama we have seen this year.

Lets take a deep dive into what happened in week 10.

Week 10 sees Jaws Drop In Arizona

There is only one place to start and that is the game on Sunday between the Arizona Cardinals and the Buffalo Bills.

Both teams have had good seasons, with both quarterbacks Josh Allen and Kyler Murray having mostly great years.

The Cardinals were winning 26-23 when Josh Allen found Steffon Diggs in the end zone with just over 30 seconds left to give Buffalo the lead.

However, what transpired next was simply amazing.

With eleven seconds, Murray escaped pressure around the 50 yard line and went for the hail mary throw. This ball found Deandre Hopkins who managed to grab the ball and make the catch, despite three Bills players around him.

This has to be one the best endings of the season, with the Bills thinking they had won it late before the freak play won it for Arizona.

Josh Allen showed that he could finally do it in the big game with the throw to Diggs. However his efforts ended up going unnoticed after that miracle play.

Kyler Murray has truly put himself in the MVP conversation in week 10 and performances such as these will be remembered for a long time.

Offensive Player Of Week 10: Tom Brady (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Another MVP candidate in my eyes is New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara, who gets an honourable mention after his three touchdowns from 15 touches. However, it is hard to look past Tom Brady, who recorded three passing touchdowns and 341 passing yards along with one rushing touchdown against the Carolina Panthers.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger also recorded four touchdowns as they went 9-0 in their 36-10 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. This was in a game they were expected to win.

The Bucs had just come off the GOAT’s heaviest career defeat and with the Buccaneers three wins ahead of Panthers in the NFC South before kickoff, this game had plenty of meaning to it.

Tampa Bay and Brady were back to their best, as they got the win, beating Carolina 46-23.

Defensive Player Of Week 10: Darious Williams (Los Angeles Rams)

The Rams beat the Seattle Seahawks 23-16 on Sunday, with cornerback Williams getting two interceptions. The Rams secondary did a great job at taking Seattle wide receiver DK Metcalf out of the game.

Metcalf, who has been the best receivers in the league this season, was limited to two receptions from 4 targets for just 28 yards. Other Rams corner Jalen Ramsey also did a great job at handling Metcalf in what was a highly anticipated matchup.

Russell Wilson also had a bad day against this Seattle defense who has been really poor all year. He was sacked six times against Sean McVay’s team and didn’t have a touchdown all game.

Williams did a great job with the interceptions, with both interceptions having a huge part in the game. Both drives that resulted from the picks ended up in punts but the Williams interceptions denied the Seahawks two scoring opportunities, which ultimately helped the Rams keep the Seahawks to just 16 points.

Elsewhere In The League In Week 10

The Miami Dolphins made it 5 wins in a row after their 29-21 win over the Los Angeles Chargers and the Cleveland Browns beat the Houston Texans 10-7 in one of the dullest games this season.

The Detroit Lions allowed Washington to score 17 points in the fourth quarter as they stumbled to a 30-27 victory at Ford Field.

The Las Vegas Raiders keep finding ways to win, now moving to 6-3. They are winning ugly but are getting the wins under their belt.

Finally, Drew Brees is likely to be out for the next month as he suffered a collapsed lung. Former Buccaneer quarterback Jameis Winston will fill in for Brees.
