FAME MMA UK – Scotty T pulls out of fight with Bear

In a video released on his Instagram account yesterday afternoon, Stephen Bear revealed that Scotty T has pulled out of their scheduled fight for FAME MMA UK this weekend, which currently leaves Bear without an opponent for the fight and leaves the card without it’s slated main event, just days before it isscheduled to take place.

It will be a big disappointment for fans of both sides as they were looking forward to seeing the pair square off in the cage. As of yet, nearly a day after the video was posted, there hasn’t been any comment from either Scotty T or FAME MMA UK to officially confirm that the fight is no longer going ahead. We will continue to keep you up to date as this story develops.

In his Instagram post Bear did confirm that he is looking for another fight and has been in talks with a number of different people already, including Polish FAME MMA champion David Malczynski, however no contracts have been signed. Bear claimed that Malczynski had turned down the chance to fight him, however since his video was released the champion has left bear a comment. “Let’s go, it will be pleasure to fight with you”

Bear will need a new opponent

In another twist to the story, former footballer and Ex on the Beach contestant Ashley Cain has also called Bear out. In his Instagram video Cain actually called Bear, but didn’t get an answer, before going on to state that FAME MMA UK had been in touch with him to ask if he would be interested in fighting Malczynski, should Bear not pull through.

That was the state of play this morning, however at 2pm Bear replied via his Instagram story, stating that Malczynski was extremely close to signing the contract but eventually pulled out and claimed that he had put Cain forward as a potential opponent but FAME MMA UK didn’t feel like he was enough of a draw. It’s hard to judge which side to believe at this point, we’ll continue to monitor the story as it unfolds.

As of yet, there is still no official word, however we have reached out the both FAME MMA and Scotty T for comment and we’ll keep you up to date with all of the latest developments, hopefully we’ll receive an update shortly.

More news to follow on this one, in the meantime check out our key takeaways from the weekend’s presser.
