NFL Week 2 injury list is shocking

Must Read

The NFL Week 2 injury list is shocking as Sunday turned into the massacre of the well-known talent around the league, as Saquon Barkley, and Christian McCaffrey became the biggest casualties of an NFL season that will live in memory for so many reasons.

Barkley went down in the second quarter of the Giants loss to the Bears, and team officials believe he has a torn ACL and will be done for the season. CMC is expected to miss “multiple weeks” with a serious ankle injury.

Other notable injuries came for defending NFC Champs San Francisco as they lost starting Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, starting RB Raheem Mostert, and starting DE Nick Bosa. Bosa is believed to have suffered a torn ACL, while Mostert is believed to have a minor MCL sprain, and JimmyG has a high ankle sprain.

The Denver Broncos also lost their starting QB Drew Lock to an AC Joint sprain that will likely seem him miss 5-8 weeks, and even then it can take a while longer for full arm-strength to return. The Broncos also lost WR Courtland Sutton with a knee injury that also may be serious.

2020 was always going to be a tough season with no pre-season games and shorter camps, but I’m not sure anyone was expecting it to be quite this bad.
