Tyler Lockett signs 4-year $69.2M extension

The Seahawks 102-catch man from 2020 is staying in Seattle after Tyler Lockett signed a big money extension clearing some cap space and moving the biggest money in his contract to 2024/25 when the salary cap should be much higher.

Lockett posted his third straight 1,000-yard receiving season and tied a career high with 10 touchdowns in 2020, but also registered a career high in drops. Lockett has emerged as Russell Wilson’s main target over the last two seasons, with 136 targets in 2020 and 127 in 2019.

KEEPING TYLER LOCKETT WAS KEY TO THE 2021 OFFSEASON

With the Russell Wilson kerfuffle this off-season it was key to keep together the Seahawks primary receiving trio for 2021. By tying Tyler Lockett in to a long-term deal Wilson will know he still has the core of his offense intact when he reports to camp.
