The Pittsburgh Steelers kept alive their playoff hopes with a stunning upset of the AFC’s number one seeded Baltimore Ravens 17-10.
The Ravens rested most of the starters after securing that top seed with last weeks win over the Miami Dolphins, but the Steelers still had an uphill battle and running back Najee Harris rose to the challenge.
Steelers need help, but looking good for playoffs
The weather was bad, and the Steelers turned to running back Najee Harris to grind out the win. Harris rushed for 112-yards and a score, and notched another 21 yards receiving.
QB Mason Rudolph was very consistent, completing 90% of his passes for 152 yards and a score. “It was probably the most challenging weather I’ve had to deal with in my career,” Rudolph said.
When asked about following this weekends games Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was just focussed on what his team had done. “I hadn’t thought about it,” he said. “We were more concerned about the variables that we had control over. Those other ones are less important. We did what we needed to do this weekend.”
