The Baltimore Ravens have selected 6’2″ Clemson corner Nate Wiggins with the 30th overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Wiggins was a two-year starter at Clemson and allowed only 600-yards receiving and 3 touchdowns against him while taking 3 picks and 15 pass breakups.
Ravens solidify defence
PFF had this to say about him pre-draft, “Wiggins has the tools of a first-round, high-impact cornerback. His athleticism and competitiveness will never be in question, and those two characteristics should produce a long-term starter.”
Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said, “When I think of Nate [Wiggins], I just think that he is a ridiculous athlete – very, very quick-footed, efficient. He’s fast. He’s tough. He’s competitive. In our division, we play a lot of really good receivers, and you have to get off the field on third downs. And, we were blessed last year to have a lot of depth in the secondary, and it really helped us quite a bit. And this is a guy that can come in here and play meaningful football right away for us. We’re excited about that.”
