The Rams piled on the points against New Orleans and moved to 8-7 and kept alive their playoff hopes in the NFC with a 30-22 win on Thursday Night Football.
The Rams didn’t make it easy on themselves though after they galloped out to a 30-7 lead and then sat back and watched the Saints make a spirited effort at a comeback that fell just short.
“We sure make it interesting, don’t we?” head coach Sean McVay asked. “But I love the resilience of this group. They just continue to show up. I thought there was a lot of really good stuff throughout the course of this game.”
RAMS ARE HITTING FORM AT RIGHT TIME
With 5 wins in their last 6 games after their bye, the Rams are one of the hottest teams around, and they still have that Super Bowl pedigree. “We earned the opportunity to be at this point, in my opinion,” Stafford said. “We’ve had stakes since the bye, so I’m just proud of the way these guys have put their head down, gone to work and shown up.”
Rams rookie WR Puka Nacka added another 9 catches for 164 yards and a score to his impressive stats on the season. He’ll be right in the OROY voting come the end of the season, although you’d expect him to just miss out to QB CJ Stroud.
