Packers rebound after losing lead win 33-30

The Green Bay Packers won a game everyone expected them to in a way no one expected they would need to, as they downed the Carolina Panthers 33-30.

Facing the 2-12 Panthers with a 30-16 lead and 11:38 left in the fourth everything was going as expected for Green Bay. And then the real Bryce Young turned up and drove the Panthers for back-to-back scores of 60 yards and 70 yards to tie the game.

JORDAN LOVE IS PACKERS FUTURE

But Jordan Love came good again for the Packers, proving once again why he is the future, driving Green Bay 61 yards on 9 plays for the game winning field goal with 19 seconds left. “Any time we can get a win, we’re going to celebrate that,” Love said. “We kept our playoff hopes alive. We found a way tonight. Obviously now it’s on to next week.”

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was happy to be leaving with the win. “It feels good to win. Certainly made it a little closer than we would’ve liked but give Carolina a ton of credit. They fought for for four quarters. The bottom line is that we found a way to make a couple of plays down the stretch to propel us to a win.”

On the other side of the field Panthers interim head coach Chris Tabor was disappointed with how the game ended. “I’m disappointed for those guys in that room,” Tabor said. “They laid everything on the line there. And we played hard. We just ran out of time. But we are getting better and there is no doubt about that.”
