NFL Great Tom Brady open to return in 24

NFL Legend Tom Brady as said on the Deep Cut podcast that he would be open to returning to the league in 2024 for a late season run at a Super Bowl.

“I’m not opposed to it,” Brady said. “I don’t know if they are going to let me if I become an owner of an NFL team. I’m always going to be in good shape. I’ll always be able to throw the ball. So, to come in for a little bit, like MJ [Michael Jordan] coming back, I don’t know if they would let me. But I wouldn’t be opposed to it.”

In particular the San Francisco 49ers under head coach Kyle Shanahan seems to be on Brady’s radar. However, he also mentioned the Raiders, who he is still looking to become a minority owner in, and the New England Patriots.

In fairness, Antonio Pierce and Jerod Mayo don’t strike me as the kind of head coaches who would embroil themselves in such a crazy scenario. Shanahan on the other is desperate to get over that hump.

Tom Brady couldn’t return, could he?

The reality is that the return of Tom Brady is highly, highly unlikely. He now has a role with Fox Sports, and after being out of the league in 2023 it’s hard to see a team being quite desperate enough to bring back the NFL’s most successful QB of all time.

“I love having this challenge to try something different in my life. It’s going to challenge me in a lot of different ways,” Brady said. “My career and all that, that’s a thing of the past in my mind. I was a gladiator out there, and now my time has moved on. Now it’s, ‘OK, how can I deliver for my next group of teammates?'”

While Tom Brady returning is one of the stories you just have to check out. It’s very unlikely…but.
