Chicago Bears starting QB Justin Fields has been officially ruled out for week 8 as he continues to recover from a dislocated thumb on his throwing hand.
HC Matt Eberflus said Fields continues to make progress but gave no timeline for his potential return. “We’re happy with where he is,” Eberflus said. “Again, he’s working with the trainers still this week, and we’ll give a better update on Monday.”
JUSTIN FIELDS QUESTIONABLE TIMETABLE
It’s an interesting question with Justin Fields because you would think he would miss a reasonable amount of time for a dislocated thumb on his throwing hand. However, as Fields has not been placed on IR he must be expected back week 10 at the latest.
Bagent completed 21/29 for 169 yards and a touchdown in his first career start last week as the Bears beat the Las Vegas Raiders 30-12 for their second win of the season.
