The New York Jets stunned the Eagles Sunday stealing their perfect record and keeping themselves in the playoff-picture. With much-maligned QB Zach Wilson at the helmet Jets defence forced 4 turnovers and shut the Eagles out in the second half.
There should be no doubting that the Jets have a legit championship calibre defence, and should Aaron Rodgers return late in the season the Jet may just still be in contention because of them.
JETS DEFENCE FEASTS
It’s a testament to the work of Jets HC and defensive guru Robert Saleh that this defence is holding strong, “Through these first six weeks, we’ve played a gauntlet of quarterbacks,” Saleh said. “I know we haven’t gotten all wins, but we’ve embarrassed all of them.
And while the Jets might not be getting amazing productivity from their QB but what they did get was mistake free football. And when your defence can take four turnovers you’re going to win most games, even against last years NFC Champions.
