The Jacksonville Jaguars snapped a 4-game losing skid as they demolished the pitiful Carolina Panthers 26-0 and kept themselves on track for the AFC South crown.
Travis Etienne rushed for 102-yards and the Jaguars only 2 touchdowns, both in the second half. It was far from pretty, but it was a much needed win for Jacksonville behind backup QB CJ Beathard
Jaguars have fate in their own hands
After their losing skid the Jaguars must now beat the Titans to win the AFC South and make the playoffs. “I think our guys really thrive on these situations, and that’s OK,” Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said.
The Panthers season couldn’t have gone much worse. They are easily the worst team in the NFL, and don’t even hold their own first round pick. The Panthers traded that pick to the Bears last season to move up to take QB Bryce Young.
“Yeah, not fun. Not fun at all,” Young said. “It’s on us. It’s what we put out. It’s our tape. It’s what we did. We own it, accept it. It is what it is, but it’s not fun.”
