After three disappointing games the Jaguars head for their annual trip to London looking to get their season back on track.
Despite winning week 1 against the Colts the Jags have failed to look like the playoff team that stunned the Chargers in the wild card round back in January. Former number one draft pick Trevor Lawrence has looked back to his pre-Doug Pederson days with his touch all but deserting him and resorting to shouldering every pass.
With 6 takeaways the defence has mostly done it’s part, although the Texans putting up 37 points on them certainly wasn’t expected or acceptable for a team looking for back-to-back playoff appearances.
CAN THE JAGUARS GET BACK ON TRACK
While the Falcons come into the game 2-1 they rank 26th on offence and 8th on defence, so the Jaguars will need to bring their best game to bring back the win. The problems for the Jags is they’ve just been very meh all season, ranking 19th on defence and 16th on offence. It’s more as though they just haven’t got started.
While this is a more than winnable game for the Jags, they need to get out to an early lead to try and calm their nerves. Every game this season they have trailed early, and this has made them get away from their gameplay and press just a little too much.
Expect the real Jaguars to turn up on Sunday and move to 2-2.
