The Dallas Cowboys entered the 2024 NFL Draft with a splash, taking monster Tyler Guyton with the 29th pick.
At 6’7″ and 327 pounds there can be no doubting he’s a mountain of a man. The Oklahoma Sooner allowed only 2 sacks in his college career on 549 pass-block snaps.
Cowboys love their pick
Head coach Mike McCarthy was clearly pleased with the pick, “They have a left-handed quarterback in Oklahoma, so he is the backside tackle, that’ll definitely be an easy transition for him as far as the responsibility of playing the backside of the quarterback,” McCarthy said.
“It’s just like anything is footwork, there’s things [that are] going to be new, but God, what a great pick for us and just to feel his enthusiasm and passion on the phone, the excitement of being a Cowboys fan and just a fit, Austin, Texas native and all that so this is a great add to our offensive line room.”
