The Dallas Cowboys showed their playoff calibre on Thanksgiving as they dominated, pulverised, and humiliated the Commanders for a very comfortable 45-10 win.
Dak Prescott continued his impressive season with 22/32, 331 yards and 4 touchdowns as the Cowboys accelerated through the game with 20 points first half, and then finishing off in style with 25 points in the fourth quarter.
COWBOYS LOOKING GOOD ON BOTH ENDS
Cowboys CB DaRon Bland send an NFL record with his 5th (FIFTH!) pick-6 of the season. “That’s a big moment. Let’s be honest. The sideline erupted,” Cowboys Head Coach Mike McCarthy said. “It’s good to celebrate and you need to. You need to smell the roses when you walk through the garden, as our guys did today. Because when you’re on the other side, it’s hard.”
“Didn’t see him initially pick it, but I just heard the crowd erupt, looked up and saw 26 had the ball in his hands,” Prescott said of Bland. “At that point, I just sprinted to the sideline to get a good view.”
It’s been a rough season for Washington and there has been a lot of talk over head coach Ron Rivera‘s future after this season. But after this game it was defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio and defensive backs coach Brent Vieselmeyer who were out of a job. “I appreciate all that they have contributed to the organization over the past four seasons and wish them all the best moving forward,” Rivera said
