Colts stun Steelers with 30 unanswered points

It all started so badly for the Colts, but it turned around even quicker than it fell apart as they blanked the Steelers in the second half to win 30-13 and move to 8-6.

The Steelers took the lead mid-way through the first and added to their lead after blocking a punt and punching the ball into the end zone two plays later for a 13-0 lead. It was to be all down hill from there.

The playoffs are somehow on the Colts radar this season, after predictions of much, much worse before the season. “We’ve needed to win these games and we’ve done a great job down the stretch,” Minshew said. “I think everybody was locked in, the urgency was there, the attention to details. At this point it’s all about winning games, however, you’ve got to get it done.”

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin wasn’t necessarily thinking the Colts were a good team however. “Let’s be honest, we’re a fundamentally poor football team right now,” Tomlin said. “We’re playing losing football and I own that. I don’t necessarily have the answers today. If I did, we’d have played differently today. But I will acknowledge things will not continue the way that they are.”

The Steelers horrific night was summed up by the scary hit safety Damontae Kazee put on the head of Colts receiver Michael Pittman. Pittman suffered a concussion on the hit, but was lucky it wasn’t much worse. Kazee was ejected and can expect a suspension for a hit that has no place in the modern NFL.
