Chiefs ownership of Bills continues 27-24

The Kansas City Chiefs are heading to the AFC Championship game for the sixth straight time after beating the Buffalo Bills 27-24.

Patrick Mahomes threw for 215 yards and two scores, while Isiah Pacheco added 97 yards and a score on the ground. Josh Allen played hero ball and threw for 186-yards and a score, and rushed for 72 yards and 2 scores.

But with the game on the line Allen missed a wide open Shakir in the end zone that would’ve given the Bills the lead with 2:00 remaining. Later in the drive Tyler Bass pushed a 44-yard field goal wide right to seal the Chiefs win.

“All-time classic again. Any time we play Sean’s teams, it comes right down to the end,” Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said.

Chiefs in AFC Championship game again

The game marked Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes first playoff road game in his NFL career. “First of all, this is a great environment, man,” Mahomes said of Buffalo. “It really is. We did hear it all week, man, about playing a road game, and we’re here to prove a point and show that we can play anywhere.”

The Chiefs will play the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game. “There’s no weakness there,” Mahomes said of the Ravens. “It’s going to take our best effort. Defense, offense, special teams, they do it all. It’s always a great challenge and that stadium’s going to be rocking, so we’re excited for the challenge.”
