Cardinals Murray tweet meets funny reaction

The Arizona Cardinals have kick a hornets nest with their latest tweet stating Kyler Murray is the franchise QB.

The tweet comes on the same day that the NFL Combine starts.

Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon had previously hailed Murray as his starter going forward at his end of season presser. “I think that he can hit another level. I know our team can. I know the offense can. I hate to say it, but he’s in there working out today. It’s like, ‘Dude, just go home man. Take a break.’ But he doesn’t want to hear that,” Gannon had said.

Cardinals have little choice

Barstool sports have kicked off on the tweet. “Sure, Kyler Murray isn’t Josh Rosen, he’s significantly better. But you can’t do this just to take down rumors that you’re moving on from Kyler. You can’t do this when you’re the Cardinals. Everyone is just bombarding them with the Josh Rosen tweet. Everyone is just making fun of them for being one of the most insignificant franchises in the NFL. Not like they have some great history they can scream about or anything like that,” wrote Bobby Reagan.

Of course it doesn’t help when you tweeted this just before you drafted Kyler Murray.

But the overreaction says way more about Twitter than it does about Kyler Murray or his future in Arizona. You can rant all you want but Murray is definitely the Cardinals starting QB in 2024.

With the Cardinals sitting at four in the upcoming NFL draft there’s really little chance for them to move on from Murray, unless they could convince one of those teams above them that they should trade the pick to them FOR Kyler Murray.

And let’s be honest, the three teams above them all play in outdoor stadiums in cold weather climate so they don’t want a short little guy who likes to run around a lot. So that ain’t happening.

At number four, the Cardinals will take Marvin Harrison Jr. if they know what they are doing. Give Murray a genuine tier-1 weapon like he used to have with DeAndre Hopkins.
