The Cincinnati Bengals season is still alive despite losing franchise QB Joe Burrow as backup Jake Browning led them to a 34-31 OT win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
With 354 yards and a score, with no turnovers, Jake Browning’s version of the Cincinnati offence looked at least as potent as Burrow’s version and took down the AFC South leaders. Browning added another score on the ground as Cincinnati won a road game on Monday Night Football for the first time since 1990.
BROWNING LEADS BENGALS LIKE BURROW
You’d have been forgiven for thinking the Bengals still had Joe Burrow at QB in the second half. With Browning forming a quick partnership with Ja’Marr Chase the ceiling might still be pretty high for this years Bengals. Chase ended the day with 149 yards and a score.
If Browning keeps playing like this, his head coach certainly things the Bengals have a chance. “He just lit the world on fire. When he goes out there and leads the team like he did, it raises the entire confidence level of the team,” Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said.
