Packers shock Cowboys 48-32

The Green Bay Packers inflicted a shocking beat down of the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington Texas as Dallas became the first team in NFL history to win 12-games in back-to-back seasons and not win a single playoff game.

Jordan Love threw for 272 yards and 2 scores and Aaron Jones added 118 yards and 2 scores on the ground as the much vaunted Cowboys defence had no answer to the Packers onslaught that ended Dallas’ 16-month home winning streak.

“We came in here with a mindset of we’re going to dominate,” Love said. “A lot of people were counting us out, and we didn’t care about that.”

Packers dominance unbelievable

The Packers would score touchdowns on three of their four first half possessions, and add a pick six on defence to build a commanding, and unassailable, 27-7 lead at the half.

The Cowboys offence finally mounted a faux-comeback with the score at 48-16 as the Packers took their foot off the gas and coasted. But the result was never in doubt.

“Just shocked, honestly,” Cowboys QB Dak Prescott said. “From the beginning of the game, we got beat. There’s no which way around it. There’s no way to sugar coat it. Shock.”

“That was fun,” said Packers head coach Matt LaFleur. “To put on a performance like that. Couldn’t be happier for them.”
