NFL Draft 2020: Tua falling as three teams remove him from their draft board

According to The Athletic, three NFL teams have taken Alabama’s star QB Tua Tagavailoa off their draft board as concerns over his health heighten.

Despite him having been one of the best quarterbacks in college football in recent times, Tua’s stock continues to fall.

Concerns over his health following the serious hip injury he suffered last season have really negatively impacted the way in which teams see him.

The Athletic’s Bob McGinn reports today that three NFL teams have taken him off their draft board completely due to concerns about his ability to stay healthy.

McGinn reports that one personnel man from the AFC told him Tua is “a great college player” but went on to say there are “three, four or five red flags staring us all in the face” that make it hard to risk a high pick on him.

To add to that, Bleacher Report have been reporting in the last week that it’s “absolutely possible” we could see Tua fall in this draft.

Joe Burrow will go at number one to the Bengals, that much is clear. Then, we’re expecting Tua to go to Miami with the fifth pick.

Despite that, Bleacher Report say there is a growing buzz that the Floridians will instead opt for Oregon star QB Justin Herbert in that fifth pick.

Herbert had been mostly expected to land in Los Angeles with the Chargers in the sixth pick. Having lost Philip Rivers, the Bolts are in need of a QB – so if the Dolphins take Herbert will they take a chance on Herbert? Or roll with Tyrod Taylor?

Only time will tell.
