COVID-19: Broncos legend Von Miller tests positive

Denver Broncos legend Von Miller has tested positive for COVID-19, the organisation has revealed.

The disease has been sweeping through the United States over the last few weeks, as it has most other nations.

Miller, who has spent his entire NFL career at Mile High, has elected to share his diagnosis publicly to show that nobody is safe from the virus.

“After experiencing flu-like symptoms, Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller has tested positive for COVID-19,” a Broncos statement read.

“Von has elected to share his diagnosis publicly to emphasize that anyone can be afflicted with coronavirus.

“Von is doing well and recovering at home in self-isolation. He remains under the care of team doctors, who are following all coronavirus treatment procedures to ensure a safe environment for Von and our community.

“Von is the first member of the Broncos’ organization known to have tested positive for COVID-19.”

It’s certainly good to hear he is doing well and knowing the type of guy Von is, he’ll be fighting fit in no time.

Meanwhile, the NFL draft is set to go ahead next week as scheduled – although it will be done virtually with commissioner Roger Goodell announcing picks from home.

As of yet, the NFL schedule has been unaffected by the COVID-19 pandemic, but if things don’t improve soon then officials may be forced to make a tough decision.
