Real Betis Hold Interest in Manchester United’s Andreas Pereira

Manchester United‘s highly-rated Brazilian starlet, Andreas Pereira has caught the attention of La Liga side Real Betis after a successful spell on loan at Valencia last season.

The Manchester United wonder kid has been linked with moves out of Old Trafford but the youngster has only courted firm attention from Betis at this point.

Talks between Manchester United and Real Betis have hit a brick wall as of late with a difference of opinion in Pereira’s valuation.

As we understand it, the 22-year old has his sights set on winning a first-team place in Manchester this season following loan spells with Granada and more recently Valencia.

Pereira went against the advice of Jose Mourinho last summer when he opted to join Valencia for the season despite Mourinho wanting him to stay around the first team. Although Mourinho did admit that Pereira would be fighting for a position that “doesn’t exist”.

At the time, it was believed that Mourinho wasn’t sure whether Pereira had a long-term future at the club, going against the manager’s wishes at such a young age is never usually good news but it appears the youngster has won back the plaudits of his parent club after successful loan spells.

Pereira was even present at United’s final game of the season vs Watford to support his teammates. An act appreciated by Jose as a development of maturity (a big plus for any Mourinho player).

Currently, on Holiday in Dubai, Andreas Pereira, 22, has used his offseason wisely. Despite being in such beautiful conditions, Pereira has been working intensely on his strength, conditioning and agility before he sets off with the rest of the squad for the pre-season tour of the USA on July 15th.
