Lazy Fan Sports has discovered that Arsenal manager Unai Emery is strongly considering the possibility of signing Everton’s Ademola Lookman. Lookman was still playing Sunday league in 2014 when Charlton spotted him. Less than 4 years later he’s on the books of Everton and has even had spells at RB Leipzig.
After failing to establish himself as a regular in Everton’s set up, Ademola managed to convince Bundesliga dark horses, RB Leipzig, to take him on loan.
At one point Lookman was destined to follow in the path of Deli Alli. The man responsible for Alli’s rise at MK Dons (and later Lookman’s at Charlton), Karl Robinson even went as far as to not only introduce Alli to Lookman but he also took him to various Tottenham games up and down the country throughout his time at Charlton.
Lookman to Leipzig
RB Leipzig have, on several occasions tried to sign Ademola Lookman on a permanent basis – but had their approaches rejected by Everton, mainly due to the fee structure.
Leipzig’s sporting director Ralf Rangnick said how impressed the Bundesliga side had been with the 20-year-old last season when they took him on loan from Everton.
Now former Everton boss Sam Allardyce was initially reluctant to let the winger leave on loan – and if he were to leave it was going to be to Derby County. Nonetheless, Lookman had his heart set on Leipzig and following a deadline day move the England youth international got his way and packed his bags for Germany.

Why Are Arsenal Interested?
Arsenal are in the midst of their first summer under a new manager with huge ideas on how to move the club forward. Unai Emery has taken over the reigns and like many, he was impressed with the former Charlton man in the Bundesliga.
Specifically speaking it was the 7 starts(4 substitute apps), 5 goals and 4 assists which have caught the Spaniard’s eye.
Arsenal are also in discussions to sign Barcelona’s Gomes.Â
Everton are Adamant Ademola Stays
Marcel Brands and Marco Silva have also noticed the form of Lookman whilst out on loan and they’re proving to be tough negotiators with both RB Leipzig and Arsenal.
Unfortunately for Everton, they have their backs against the wall with the 20-year old forward asking to return to Germany permanently. The interest from Arsenal has taken his attention, providing a route back home to London.
The biggest catch in this whole ordeal centres around first-team football. RB Leipzig has proven they can offer him the football he needs. Arsenal has yet to provide such assurances but the allure of a club the stature the gunners may prove to be too mouthwatering a consideration for Lookman to resist.
