Many have France as the world cup favourites this year, but it’s their midfield superstar Paul Pogba who was singled out by Denmark national team coach Age Hareide.
The Norwegian boss who has selected Nicklas Bendtner in his preliminary squad for the World Cup has accused the Manchester United player of only caring about his hair, in what appears to be a moment of madness Age labelled Pogba as “nothing special”.
This might well be a rather laughable attempt at mind games, however, as Denmark are joined in group C by Australia, Peru and France.
Age Hareide continued his mad ramblings further stating “He played against Manchester City with his hair dyed blue and white, maybe he’ll have it red and white to play us “.
Age Hareide messing with French FavouritesÂ
The French head into Russia ranked 7th in the world and as the favourites in the eyes of many.
After attacking Paul Pogba, Age Hareide then turned his attention to the entire French squad saying they “lacked leadership” and that they were vastly overrated “I don’t believe in this team,”
He said. “The teams at the top of the world rankings are the best in the world, but this is not the case for France.
“I saw France against Sweden in Stockholm. They are nothing special.”
Hopefully, Age Hareide is as good as coaching as he is at embarrassing himself. If that’s the case the Danish might just be on the verge of a World Cup victory.Â
