Are you confused with the NHL’s new rules set at the start of the 2019-20 season? So are we, and it seems we’re not alone either – just ask JT Miller. The increase of new rules to the game has made it much harder to follow not only as fans but for the the players as well.
On Wednesday night during the game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Canucks star Miller had a moment of sheer confusion as his teammate Jordie Benn touched the puck with his hand to bat it back down on the ice, Miller, Confused didn’t know what to do next. Penguins players started to huddle around him and Miller was heard over the referees’microphones, where you can clearly hear Miller say : “He touched it! I don’t know what the rules are…”
Miller has previously played for the New York Rangers and Tampa Bay Lightning. He was selected by the Rangers in the first-round, 15th overall at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. A versatile player, 26 year old Miller, Native of East Palestine, Ohio, is currently playing for the Vancouver Canucks and has 12 goals, 14 assists in 26 games so far this season. After the game, Miller admitted on ice that he didn’t know what to do next.
New rules confuzzle JT Miller
So, should the league make these new rules more known over the league and for the fans? Is it embarrassing that a professional athlete playing in the best league in the world not up to date with the rule changes in the game they are playing? Maybe, but on video the whole situation seems to be light hearted and the refs and players all seem to find the funny side to it all.

The Sportsnet broadcasters couldn’t help but laugh at his comments, and we have to admit this is pretty funny as well.
